At our baptism we promise to resist evil, injustice and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves. It’s the “in whatever forms” that’s the tricky part.
Some say it's an accurate description. Some say it's a doorway to a mystery. Some say it's all about relationships. Some say it's a dance.
When the Spirit swept through a city 2000 years ago, the church was born. But it wasn’t a soft and quiet event. It was cataclysmic.
Are we in such a rush to get ahead of the curve that we are getting ahead of God? Before he left, Jesus told his followers to stop and wait for the Spirit.
But I don’t want to be an example! Why do I have to be?
You just got a sales job. Didn’t know that, did you? As a disciple, you are now a rep for Christ.
