For over a decade, members of Emish have been performing in various professional groups including anything and everything from Traditional Irish, Irish Rock, and Punk to Symphony Orchestras. Individually, they have toured as far as Europe and Japan honing their performing skills – all preparing themselves for the day that they would collectively form Emish. With their versatility and well-seasoned skills, combined with on-stage foot stomping energy and off-stage charisma, Emish has been making fans from one coast to the other. Their music includes “emishified” traditional songs and tunes with their own original compositions that creates a sound described as “Celtic Rock with an edge”.
Although Emish tours regularly throughout the country, they still hold tight to their roots back home and have been honored with being voted the “Best Band of the Hudson Valley” for the past two years. In only four years since the conception of the group, they have already recorded two albums with their debut CD “This Light” selling over 5,000 copies. Whether they are playing on the main stage at a festival, theater halls or pubs, Emish brings an energy packed show with witty banter on stage, leaving their fans asking for more.
