Throughout the month of October, Vision Community Church will exhibit the work of Joyce Ellen Weinstein, a contemporary artist from the New York vicinity whose art is exhibited in museums worldwide. Ms Weinstein's work features personal interpretations of biblical figures created with a print making technique called linoleum block printing. With this technique, a design is cut into a sheet of linoleum to create a raised or relief surface, and is then inked and pressed into the surface of the paper.
The "People of the Bible" exhibit will be available for viewing every Sunday in October before and after the 10:00 AM services, or anytime during the week with advanced notification. Vision Community Church will also host a reception with Ms Weinstein on Sunday, October 10th from 11:15 to 2:30. Refreshments will be served and handouts will be provided with a short story about each print on exhibit, its dimensions, and purchase price. Vision Community Church is located at 103 Newport Bridge Road in Warwick, NY. All are welcome to attend.
