This past Sunday, we gathered as a church to discuss our situation at our current location. It was an uplifting time of worship and conversation. Afterwards, I received a lot of feedback on how impressed people were with the positive tone of the discussion. In particular, many of you shared how blessed you felt to be part of a congregation that is seeking first to do what God was calling us to do, and not pursuing our own agenda. Much was discussed, and as leaders, we want everyone to have a voice in this discussion. We encouraged anyone with ideas or resources regarding loans or finances to contact a member of the Board. We also agreed that we needed to surround these decisions with prayer.
In order to build on these thoughts we will do the following:
Prayer Meeting - Thursday October 21st at 7:30 PM in our worship space. We will pray together and open ourselves to hear that which God calls us to do.
Congregational Meeting - after our regular worship this Sunday, October 24th at 10 AM, we invite everyone to stay for further discussion. Any new developments will be shared at that time and we hope to further clarify the best path forward.
I strongly encourage you to make every effort to attend these gatherings as a show of commitment to our church. In the meantime, continue to pray that God will show us the path forward and provide the resources for us to follow that path, whatever it may be.
May the Peace of God be with you,
