There have been major new developments in our plans to purchase the property in which we currently meet. As you know, the owners of the property, the Hudson River Presbytery, put the property in the market back in April. Since that time, we have been in negotiations to purchase the buildings and in conversations with lending institutions. This week, a rumor came to our attention that a couple of weeks ago, the Presbytery had accepted an offer by another party. We have been able to confirm that this is indeed true, they had accepted an offer on the property. As per the terms of our lease, Vision now has the right of first refusal and to make another offer of our own.
At this point, we want to review our options with the congregation. Our scheduled annual meeting will take place after an abbreviated time of worship this Sunday. We will provide more details on this situation, review upcoming plans for our church, and have our annual election of new Board members. This is a very important meeting, please make every effort to be at church this Sunday.
We hope to see everyone there on Sunday and are positive and confident, knowing that God will guide us on this next stage of our journey.
